Message Here's part of my last motor. I had a major oil leak and ruined it. I guess it was for the best, I couldn't tell you if that build would have lasted even without a oil leak.

Rod bearing melted into the rod:

Here is some history for those who don't know whats going on. This part of my halloween post about how many motors I've been through.

La-Z-Link

My "dream" wheels which are off of Glenn's (TXQ45) TT. I purchased my pre-assembled short block from him. Thanks Glenn!!!!

So, we started last Saturday morning, here's Luke, L.J., my dad and Brad on the end. The 3 Z guys trying hard not to be annoyed with my dad showing them what a carbuerator is. The "old school" tools I mentioned to Barry was actually just the engine hoist my dad built, and it was easier to use than my cherry picker because the ground was unlevel in the garage.

L.J.'s Z.

Brad's Z.

My motor before:

My motor after:

Tony's radiator I bought last Christmas, Scott's hardpipes, TONS of stuff from Coz. Luke sold me his short throw shifter, which is installed. He bought it from Woody. I still need a new fan shroud and some other things. I have the whole core support from the NA I need to swap over, but I just want it to stay running at this point in time.

And my electrical gremlins (Hi Ashley!) was this:

It wasn't officially running til this past Sunday evening. These two connecters were plugged in, just didn't snap together.

I still have a "miss" and a heating issue and only boosting to 5-6 psi. I thought with the HI waterpump pulley I bought it would make that go away. I'm about to buy new sensors, but the overheating problem is still there. All new hoses.

We relocated my new PTU and sub harness, did the water bypass. I'm hoping this weekend we get the rest of the bugs worked out. Maybe I'll get to take this thing to the race track before the bad weather hits.

THANKS EVERYONE WHO HELPED!!!! You are much lloved and appreciated. And everyone who sold me parts, much appreciated!

I need new mufflers, the cheap ebays ones that look OEM are quite obnoxious sounding. I don't remember them being that loud. Oh well....

So its running, it moves on its own power, and I'm in freaking love with it all over again!!!!

(Yes, I know that it needs cosmetic help, one thing at a time)
